What is behind the +?
For a few years, organisations have been adding letters to the ever-expanding set of initials but they always add a +. However no-one can tell us what the + is meant to represent. LGB International is writing to organisations to ask what they understand the '+' in LGBTQIA+ to represent.
UN Consultation on dismantling gender stereotypes
LGB International has made a submission to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women. We point out their contradiction: saying gender means false stereotypes and also promoting the false notion of an innate gender.

Let’s Go Big!
On Saturday 18 April, the UK’s LGB Alliance held its fifth conference in London, the biggest so far. LGB International was there, running two panels, telling conference delegates what is happening in other countries, both those where LGB groups already exist and those that badly need one.
Protesting against Senegal
National Affiliates of LGB International have written to the Senegalese Embassy to their country. We are deeply concerned by news that Senegal’s parliament and President have recently approved legislation which doubles the penalty for consensual sexual activity between adults of the same sex.

EU Union of Equality "LGBTIQ+" Strategy
LGB International submitted its response to the European Commission’s consultation on the Union of Equality: LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2026-2030. Our submission set out the case for protecting and promoting the rights of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals on the basis of biological sex and sexual orientation, without conflating our interests with those of other groups.
